Scando Oy is a trading company focused on the international sales of high-tech
products. Matti Takkula founded the company in 1988 after 6 years of industrial
experience with Cellular Basestations in Nokia.
We are located in Oulu Technopolis, the
first technology park in the Nordic countries. Since 2006 we have had an office
and demonstration facilities in Kerava as well.
Scando works in close cooperation with high-tech companies by developing,
marketing and selling new products and services for customers like Banks,
Contact and Call Centres, Defence, Industry, Authorities, Telephone Service
Providers and Security Companies. Total value of our annual deliveries is around
1.5 - 2 million Euros depending on project scheduling.
Products
We offer Nice-recording systems for all digital recording of voice, faxes,
video, screen contents as well as voice and video over IP, for managing customer
service quality, contract contents and video surveillance systems. In addition,
we supply direction finder and access control systems. Our main brands are:
- NiceLog for audio recording applications like telephones, faxes, radio telephone systems and microphones,
- NiceVision for CCTV management applications including wireless workstations and audio integration,
- NiceFix for direction finding and positioning of radio transmitters, and
- Lenel for integrated access control, video surveillance, and alarm receiving.
Recording
Since 1992 in close cooperation with our Finnish customers like the Railways, Defence and Ministry of Interior and the R&D units of Nice Systems, Israel we have shown that Nice recording applications will fulfill the demanding requirements of the most advanced customers. Today, Scando is the largest supplier of digital multichannel recording systems for voice and video in Finland with over 300 systems installed. In fact, Finland is one of the leading countries in the world in digital recording applications with close to 10.000 channels of genuine multichannel recording capacity installed presenting a penetration of 2 ‰.
The Nice products are built using compatible modules so that our recording platform is a true multimedia solution for all digital recording of voice, faxes, video and screen contents as well as voice and video over IP (V2oIP). This is why Nice products are a worldwide leader of multimedia digital recording.
Customer Service
Scando provides installation, customer support and integration services through
our Oulu and Helsinki offices and with the support of our partners, nationwide.
In the installations we cooperate with the leading security, software and
tele-communications system suppliers, e.g. in Finland with companies like
Corenet, Elisa, Integrated e-Solutions, Securitas, Siemens, TeliaSonera,
TietoEnator and YIT.
